Is it a gel or a lacquer? How does the formula work? What makes it different than before? Oh, so many questions, but one thing’s for sure, you’re in good hands with its long-wear and unstoppable durability. Now let’s answer those burning questions.
What’s New about OPI Infinite Shine?
Our improved formula is best described by three little words: pre-cured gel technology. More on that in a bit. It’s also vegan*, has a new Gel-Like Base and Top Coat, and we’re giving you way more shades in more effects than ever.
What exactly is Pre-Cured Gel Technology?
Glad you asked. First, let’s talk overall chemistry. When you paint your nails, Infinite Shine creates a film of colour made up of strong polymer chains that lock onto the nail’s surface like a gel polish would without needing to be cured, and it easily unlocks with polish remover. To compare it, when you use gel polish, you get that same strand of strong chains in your colour coats, but it’s activated by UV light which makes it super durable but hard to break down. Hence why you have to soak it off. When you use a regular polish, you get strands of flexible chains in your colour coats that break down super easy with wear and time, and remover.
So It’s Like Gel and Lacquer in One?
Exactly. You get that durable, chip, scratch, and stain resistance you would from a gel without needing to cure it or soak it off. It wears for up to 11 days and you get an incredibly glossy shine. Plus, our new Gel-Like Top Coat delivers a plump gel-like look that’s out of this world.
