As we head into pedi season, now is the perfect time to refresh your service menu and make the most of the increased demand for foot care. To help you get pedi ready, we’ve caught up with the OPI Education Team, who share their expert insights on how to capitalise on the season and elevate your pedicure services.

What changes do you notice in clients’ feet/nails as we move into spring?
"I usually see excessively dry toenails, and product that has been left on since Christmas. There are often overgrown cuticles, and sometimes damaged from walking boots, wellies and closed toe ill-fitting shoes. Spring is the time to tackle build up and ensure that clients natural nail health is in good condition, before they start hammering those heels with their flip-flops." - Lucy
How do you promote ‘pedi season’ in your business?
"Those first few days of sunshine in February are when to start capturing bookings for those first pedicures, we often share pictures of beautifully pedicured nails and feet and encourage clients to get ready for flip flop season, we share images on socials and via email marketing with a direct link to book. We also fill any down time or grey space with discounted luxury pedicure services in the quieter weeks in February as we gear up to Spring, often sharing a before and after picture of my own feet – that is incentive enough to book!" - Lucy
What are the top foot concerns you hear most and what products do you recommend?
"During the winter months, the feet can become noticeably dry, dull, and neglected, making a rejuvenating reset essential. In your opinion, what makes a spring pedi feel “premium” vs “basic”?
"A premium feel pedicure is all about the experience, including a hot towel to remove your exfoliator, greeting your client with a full range of colours and systems, being able to offer advice and plan through consultation the best course of action for their nails and skin. For me, a premium pedi MUST include a feature length massage, and that will keep your clients booking the luxury upgrade every time. "My favourite way to retail pedi products without sounding too salesy is to get the client to feel the benefits for themselves! "I tailor the pedi service to the individual clients needs by always starting with consultation first. Finding out what the clients concerns are rather than what I think the client needs most. I chose products I know they will love and explain how it works to combat the issue. At the end I recap over what the service entailed and make note on their records, so it reminds me for next time.
