Question: How do you find SmoothFiller compared to other smoothing products?
Answer: It’s so much easier. This is our third smoothing product that we’ve used, and it’s not complicated – you just have to do it properly. There are no complications, it’s brilliant.
Question: What is the price of your SmoothFiller service?
Answer: It can be anything from £145 with an apprentice or graduate, taking around two to three hours depending on hair thickness. Our top stylists charge between £200 and £250 and are slightly quicker, taking around two hours. It’s a great money maker for the salon.
Question: What type of clients do you recommend SmoothFiller to and why?
Answer: A massive age range. We’ve done it on clients as young as 12 – for example, a really sporty young girl who can’t manage her hair and is out playing football in all weather, it’s been a game changer for her. The oldest clients have been in their mid-70s to 80s. It works across a huge age range.
Question: How do you communicate the new smoothing service to your clients?
Answer: It’s easy. We include it in our menu books and talk to clients about how to achieve shiny, smooth and manageable hair. We’ve also created a 20% off home care package so clients can take products home with them. In addition, we’ve run multiple social media campaigns to spread the word. Everyone wants smoother, more manageable hair.
Question: What has introducing SmoothFiller as a salon service done to positively impact your business?
Answer: It’s been amazing. Clients absolutely love it, and we’ve used it long enough now to see that it lasts a good three months. Clients are raving about it, and above all, our apprentices and graduates love it because it fills up the gaps in their columns!
