TREND ALERT: APRICOT CRUSH
Play with different intensities of juicy apricot tones to create a dimensional and expressive face frame. A new take on a classic.
STEP ONE: LIGHTENING FRAME
BlondorPlex + 6%
Section a wide face frame. Work in diagonal slices, as you move up alternate with weaves. For a bolder effect go closer to the root area also through the fringe area.
Tip: Once lightener is applied blend the colour upward with your fingers for a soft transition.
STEP TWO: NEUTRAL ROOT SHADOW
Toning Roots
Shinefinity 40g 08/0 + 20g 07/75
+ 60g bowl & brush activator
Apply the formula fluidly through the root area, this will aid the transition into the apricot tones.
STEP THREE: APRICOT TONES
Toning Ends
Front: Shinefinity
5g 08/34 + 20g 09/73 + 20g 00/00
+ 45g bowl & brush activator
Back: Koleston Perfect
20g 9/04+ 10g 8/34 + 30g 6%
A) Apply the Koleston Perfect shades through the back and just above the ears.
B) Apply the Shinefinity tones throughout the rest.
TREND ALERT: STRAWBERRY GLAZE
The perfect introduction to warmth is matching strawberry tones with a cooler neutral base.
STEP ONE: LIGHTENING FRAME
BlondorPlex + 6%
Section a wide face frame. Work in diagonal slices away from the root area.
Tip: Dropping the face from below the eye area can help a colour shy client to try new tone as they have the familiar colour nearest to their eyes.
STEP TWO: NEUTRAL BASE COLOUR
Overall Base
Koleston Perfect 6/91 + 7/18 + 1.9%
Apply the neutral shade through the back and in between the strawberry tones.
This will harmonise the base.
STEP THREE: STRAWBERRY GLAZE
Shinefinity 30g 09/65 + 10g 07/34 + 20g 07/59
+ 60g bowl & brush developer
Apply the strawberry glaze over the lightened areas.
The top of the lightened area can be blended with the neutral base shade if needed.
